The castle farm campsite is set within the beautiful village of Fotheringhay. The village has a rich history, including the birth of Richard III, and the beheading of Mary Queen of Scots.
Fotheringhay Castle Farm Site offers almost-wild camping on the banks of the River Nene near the historic village of Fotheringhay. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Great spot for paddle boarding, canoeing or wild swimming in the river, explore the castle ruins or head on one of the many interesting walks nearby. Furnished bell tents are available too during the summer months.

Catanger Farm is situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. Northamptonshire is often referred to as the county of ‘squires and spires’ with idyllic villages and beautiful rolling countryside, unspoilt and blissfully quiet. What better way to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful scenery than by walking a gentle llama along bridleways, farm tracks and country lanes.
Get away from everyday life for the peace, beauty and unique experience of a short break on a llama farm. Set in acres of gorgeous countryside, surrounded by llamas and wildlife, undisturbed and at one with nature. Catanger Farm has the pleasure of offering a traditional gypsy caravan and a shepherd’s hut for you to stay in. A former stable and tack room has been charmingly restored into a fully fitted countryside retreat. The cosy cabin has been meticulously renovated using recycled and handcrafted materials.
The Little Stable
The cabin strikes a balance between high end luxury and rustic charm…
Enter via the higgledy piggledy pallet wood fence and reclaimed front door into a ‘tardis- like’ home. The living area has a kitchenette with stylish designer hammered copper sink and colourful hand painted Talevera tiles. There’s oak flooring throughout, reclaimed pallet wood walls and a quirky feature wall utilising wood slice rounds. A comfortable plush velvet sofa with footstool, upcycled bookcase and stylish industrial radiators complete the living room. Full length handmade British wool tweed curtains frame the French doors, which open up onto an extensive outdoor seating area. The stable sits within a grass meadow and is framed on one side by a majestic 300 year old oak tree home to a pair of Barn Owls, which have successfully bred 11 chicks over the last 3 years. Sit out on the patio with a glass of wine or toast marshmallows on the fire pit while spotting Red Kites, your neighbouring Barn Owls, Kestrels and more.
To the rear of the property there’s a Scandinavian style ‘built- in’ king size cabin bed complete with luxury pocket sprung mattress, cashmere headboard and handmade patchwork quilt. Adjacent to the bedroom area is an en-suite shower room with teal tumbling blocks tile wall.
There are many horse themed, rustic and unique handcrafted items throughout but with an equal amount of luxury such as private parking, central heating, Egyptian cotton bedding, dimmable spot lights, convenient USB plug points, 4K flatscreen TV and if you don’t want to disconnect from modern life entirely there’s excellent free Wifi too.
