Why Pitch Level Matters
A motorhome or caravan that's even 2-3 degrees off level is uncomfortable to sleep in, hard to cook on, and causes 12V fridges to lose efficiency. Most pitches need a small ramp under one wheel to put things right.
Wheel Ramps
Plastic or rubber ramps that the unit drives onto. Quick to use, no jacking - the standard solution for most off-pitch levelling.
Levelling Blocks & Jack Pads
Stackable blocks under jack legs/corner steadies stop them sinking on soft ground. Essential for any pitch that's not paved.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check if the unit is level?
Use a spirit level on the floor or worktop, or download a free phone app. Cross-axis level (front-back AND side-side) matters - just one axis isn't enough.
Plastic or rubber ramps - which is better?
Plastic is lighter and cheaper; rubber grips better on grass and won't slide on wet pitches. Heavy motorhomes (over 3.5t) need the higher-rated plastic or steel ramps.
Do I need jack pads on a hard standing?
On concrete or tarmac, no. On grass, gravel or soft ground - yes. They stop corner steadies sinking and protect the surface.
How much ramp height do I need?
Most pitches need 5-10cm of correction. Stacked blocks or 2-3 step ramps cover this. Severely sloping pitches may need full 15cm+ ramps.
