Floe Motorhome Caravan Draindown Kit - For Inboard Water Tanks

The Floë Water Drain Down Combo Kit provides a simple and cost-effective way to drain the water system in your motorhome, camper or compatible caravan. It is particularly suited to leisure vehicles with an onboard water storage tank where the water supply cannot be switched to an external barrel.

By helping to remove water remaining within the system, Floë can help protect your water system from winter frost damage while also reducing stagnant water during periods when your leisure vehicle is not in use. The drain-down process takes just a matter of minutes, making it a practical addition for year-round touring and seasonal storage.

Floë uses compressed air to help purge remaining water from the taps, shower and other water outlets throughout your leisure vehicle. Once installed beside the fresh water tank, the system can be used with a foot pump or suitable 12V tyre compressor to push residual water from the system.

This helps leave the water system drained and ready for storage, winterisation or your next trip. Full instructions and an instructional DVD showing the drain-down process are supplied with the kit.

Water left inside pumps, filters, taps and pipework can cause problems when temperatures fall below freezing. Draining the system helps reduce the amount of residual water left within these components and can therefore help protect the water system during colder weather.

Regular drain downs can also help prevent water from remaining stagnant within the system for extended periods between trips.

Step 1: Drain the water heater and open a tap to run the water pump for a moment. Turn off the power to the electric pump and close all taps. Fit the Floë device to the plug-in adaptor.

Step 2: Fit the Floë device and adaptor to the socket on the side of the vehicle.

Step 3: Attach an air compressor or foot pump to the valve located at the bottom of the Floë device. Pressurise the system to a maximum of 15 PSI (1 bar).

Step 4: Open the first tap and run it until dry. Repeat this process for sinks, showers and any other water outlets. Once the system has been drained, leave all taps in the open position.

This kit is designed for motorhomes and campers, as well as caravans that draw their water supply from an onboard water storage tank.

If your caravan can be switched to draw water directly from an external water barrel, a dedicated touring caravan Floë kit may be more suitable.

The kit is suitable for semi-rigid pipework with an approximately 12mm outer diameter. Adaptors are also included for larger, more flexible pipework of approximately 18mm diameter.

If your leisure vehicle uses flexible pipework larger than 18mm, a kit designed for larger pipe sizes may be required.

Do not pressurise the water system above 15 PSI (1 bar). Always read the supplied instructions thoroughly before use.

Do not connect the Floë system directly to a mains water supply. Mains water pressure is too high for this application unless an appropriate pressure-reducing system is used.
