Product Information

The Sterling Pro Power Q is a quasi sine wave inverter that turns 12V DC into 230V AC at 50Hz, with 350W continuous and 600W peak power. It has UK/Euro output sockets, and the DC input cables are ring terminated.

Overload, over voltage and low voltage cut-outs protect the inverter, along with thermal and output short protection. A quasi sine wave output works with most electrical appliances, but not with thyristor-controlled appliances such as washing machines or bread makers.

Suitability

For 12V battery systems in vehicles and boats. Fit it as close to the batteries as possible, in a place that is well ventilated, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, water, moisture, oil, grease and highly inflammable substances, and out of reach of children. Connect the red cable to the positive terminal and the black cable to the negative terminal of the battery, and never reverse the cables.

When installed in a vehicle or boat, the inverter must be connected to the chassis or ground (ground terminal). Never use it on vehicles where the positive terminal of the battery is connected to the chassis. The inverter's output must never be on your AC system at the same time as the 230V external mains line: if the output is to be used on a ring mains system, a suitable two-pole crossover switch must be used. Always switch the inverter on before plugging in any appliance, and do not open the inverter (high voltage).
