Truma DuoControl Gas Regulator with Crash Safe (Vertical / 8mm Outlet)

The Truma DuoControl CS is a safety gas pressure regulator with automatic changeover for connecting two gas cylinders in caravans and motorhomes. It is vertical, with an 8mm outlet. It delivers a uniform output pressure of 30 mbar from an inlet pressure of 0.7 to 16 bar, and when the cylinder in use runs empty it automatically switches over to the full one. It shows which cylinder is in use and whether it is full or empty.

The integrated crash sensor (CS) lets you use gas appliances while driving: it interrupts the flow of gas in an accident, with a directly acting deceleration of 4.0 g ± 1.0 g. It is easy to see if the crash sensor has been triggered, and you reset it yourself with the yellow reset button. The regulator also has a safety valve that blows off to a pressure of 110 mbar if the regulator is not working properly, and an automatic pressure relief valve (PRV) that protects the connected appliances against too high a pressure.

For caravans and motorhomes running on two propane or butane cylinders. It can also be used with only one cylinder, with the free inlet sealed off using the blind cover provided. The regulator may only be installed and repaired by an expert. A gas filter must be installed upstream of the regulator, and high-pressure hoses with hose rupture protection (HRP) must be used to connect the cylinders. Only upright cylinders that supply gas in the gas phase may be used; cylinders that supply liquid gas (e.g. for fork lifts) must not be used.

Using the DuoControl CS in closed rooms (e.g. at home), on boats or in EX Zone 0 (e.g. tankers) is prohibited, and it must not be used for commercial purposes. National regulations must be observed if it may be used in mobile homes; its use in mobile homes is prohibited in Germany. In France, operating a gas system while driving is only permitted in type-tested vehicles first registered as of 01.01.2007.
