How do I know which roof bars fit my car? +

Use our vehicle lookup tool or check the manufacturer fitting guide. You will need your car make, model, year, and roof type (normal roof, raised rails, flush rails, or fix points). We stock Thule, Cruz, and other leading brands with guaranteed vehicle-specific fits. If unsure, contact us with your registration and we will confirm compatibility.

What size roof box do I need? +

A 300-400 litre box suits most families for camping trips and holidays. Solo travellers or couples may find 250-300 litres sufficient. For skiing or long items, choose a box at least 200cm long. Check your roof bar maximum load and ensure the total weight (box plus contents) does not exceed it or your car roof limit.

Can I use a bike carrier with a roof box fitted? +

Yes, in most cases you can fit both on roof bars, provided you do not exceed the maximum roof load. Alternatively, a towbar-mounted bike carrier leaves your roof free and is often easier to load. Check your car manual for the maximum roof load, which typically ranges from 50-100kg including the bars and accessories.

Do I need extended towing mirrors for my caravan? +

Legally, you must be able to see clearly down both sides of your caravan and 20 metres behind it. If your caravan is wider than your car, you will need extended towing mirrors. These are required by law and you can be fined for not using them. We stock both clip-on and strap-fitting mirrors to suit different vehicle types.
