The dual purpose nature of the heater means that it can be used as a fan only, so it can heat in the winter and cool in the summer. The oscillating function means that the hot (or cool) air is moved around helping to heat the entire area rather than just in front of the heater. It has dual security features built in as well. You have an overheat function to ensure that the heater does not overheat and an anti-tip function so if the heater does tip over it cuts out automatically.
