Dometic Portico Air 180s Tour Door Inflatable Caravan Kampa Sun Canopy

Dometic's new Portico Canopy is a genius solution for stopping the rain from coming into the caravan without going to the hassle of putting up an awning. The canopy is very quick to pitch and is cleverly designed to be resilient against the elements, be it wind or rain. The canopy uses Dometic's rigid Air Frame design and is inflated via a single inflation point as demonstrated from our own Attwoolls Pitching Video.

New for the 2025 season is Dometic's Weathershield(TM) Tour fabric, replacing the fan favourite Weathershield(TM) Pro fabric that has dominated their range for the last decade. Don't be fooled however, this new fabric is more than just a fresh coat of paint. The all-new Weathershield(TM) Tour fabric features a rip-stop polyester thread woven into the fabric to help strengthen the material against sharp objects. The fabric is still premium at 300 denier, and has been treated with an increased waterproofing level for more consistent weather protection throughout. Additionally Dometic's use of dope-dyeing has vastly reduced the amount of water used in the dyeing process. As these fibres are dyed before they're spun the colour persists fully throughout the fabric, this reduces the visual effect of UV fading on the awning and keeps them looking good as new for longer!

The Portico simply slides into the awning rail and has a decent width of 180cm. The lip of the canopy comes out 50cm which is enough to cover any habitational door. The door will not catch the roof of the canopy thanks to the design of the Air Frame and how it presses against the caravan. Optional storm straps are recommended when using the Portico as it helps to add more stability to the canopy.
