Understanding the Campingaz Product Line-Up
Campingaz is the most recognisable camping stove brand in the UK, and their blue gas canisters are a fixture of campsites from Cornwall to the Cairngorms. But the Campingaz range is broader than many people realise, spanning from pocket-sized single burners to full camp kitchens with grills and griddles. Here is a straightforward guide to the key models you will find in shops ahead of summer 2026.
The Bistro Range β Compact Single Burners
The Bistro range is Campingaz's compact stove line, designed for quick setup and minimal fuss.
-
Camp Bistro 3: The most popular Campingaz stove in the UK. Single burner, 2,200W, piezo ignition, uses CP250 cartridges. Recessed burner for wind protection. Ideal for solo campers, couples and festival-goers. Compact enough to fit in a rucksack.
-
Camp Bistro Elite: An upgraded Bistro with a more powerful burner, improved pan supports and a carry case. Same CP250 fuel system. For campers who want Bistro simplicity with slightly better performance.
-
Camp Bistro DLX: Features a built-in griddle plate alongside the burner β useful for bacon and eggs without needing a separate pan.
The Camp Range β Double Burner Stoves
When one burner is not enough, the Camp range provides two.
-
Camping Kitchen 2 CV: The flagship double burner. Two 1,800W burners with independent control, removable windshield, lid and drip tray. Runs on CV470 valve canisters. This is the go-to family camping stove and has been for years.
-
Camp Cook CV: A slightly simpler double burner at a lower price point. Piezo ignition, detachable lid, CV470 fuel. Less robust than the Camping Kitchen 2 but lighter and cheaper.
-
Camping Kitchen 2 Maxi: An extended version with a grill section between the two burners. Adds versatility for toasting and grilling without a separate BBQ.
The Party Range β Social Cooking
Campingaz Party models are designed for outdoor entertaining.
-
Party Grill 200: A remarkably versatile unit that functions as a stove (with pan support), a grill (with removable grate) and a griddle (with flat plate). It runs on a single CV470 canister and produces 1,350W. Compact enough for a picnic table, powerful enough for a family meal.
-
Party Grill 400: A larger version with 2,000W output and a wider cooking surface. Better suited to groups and comes with a deeper lid for windshield/cover use.
-
Party Grill 600: The largest Party Grill, with dual cooking zones and enough space to cook for a group of six to eight people. It straddles the line between camping stove and portable BBQ.
Campingaz Gas Canister Compatibility
This is where Campingaz can confuse newcomers. There are three main canister types:
-
CP250: Piercing cartridge. Once attached, stays on until empty. Used by Bistro range and many compact models.
-
CV300/CV470: Valve canister. Self-sealing, so can be disconnected between uses. Used by Camp and Party ranges.
-
R907: Refillable 2.75kg bottle for larger installations. Not typically used with portable stoves.
Always check which canister your stove requires before buying fuel from our gas and fuel section.
